Information
In 1963, Arabian Establishment for Trade (AET), a diverse trading and shipping company, was formed by H.R.H. Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Al Saud. AET Shipping is now owned by H.R.H. Prince Saud Abdullah Al Faisal Al Saud and his sons and daughters. AET largely took over the activities of
Gellatly Hankey & Co. which had been established in Saudi Arabia for many years and
were appointed as Lloyds Agents in 1889.
By 1977/78 the pace of development within Saudi Arabia had increased rapidly and it was
clear that a separate company was required to handle the survey activities of AET.
Therefore, in the latter part of 1978, Arabian Inspection and Survey Co. (AIS) was formed. AIS is now owned by H.R.H. Prince Saud Abdullah Al Faisal Al Saud and his sons and daughters.
AIS has grown rapidly and now employs a broadly qualified range of staff from
several
countries. The company has established itself as an Industry leader in the Cargo, Hull,
Machinery and Industrial Engineering Sector. Lately, in response to requests from many of our
insurance industry clients, a separate non-marine loss adjusting division has been formed
under the name of Matthews Daniel International.
AIS is firmly committed to its presence in the region. During
the period of stabilization in the economy in recent years, the
complement of technical and qualified staff has in fact been increased.
Assignments are undertaken both within Saudi Arabia and overseas,
especially neighboring countries including Yemen, Sudan, Somalia,
Jordan, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain, and Oman.
The company is appointed by many Associations, Societies, and
Organisations worldwide. Our
